OFS optical fibers and assemblies have been used in ophthalmic laser therapies for more than 25 years with precision cleaving and polishing techniques that help to deliver a uniform Gaussian energy distribution across the output spot. Typical applications include retinal and glaucoma therapies such as diabetic Macular Edema, Central Serous Chorioretinopathy, Laser Photocoagulation for Diabetic Retinopathy, Vitreoretinal Surgery, and Transscleral Cyclophotocoagulation.

With vertically integrated manufacturing facilities, OFS is able to manufacture a wide range of custom fibers, including select cutoff single-mode fibers, specific numerical apertures, graded-index fibers, coreless fibers with biocompatible coating and cladding materials. Any of our medical-grade optical fibers and cables can be paired with a connector or custom probe assembly for a turnkey, sterilizable sub-assembly, ready to plug into your medical device.

OFS’s medical manufacturing facilities and robust quality management system ensure optimal performance and peace of mind.
